Novomatic Opens Casino Admiral Granada In Andalusia

After months of “intensive” renovation, the Novomatic Group opened its third casino operation in the autonomous community of Andalusia in Spain.

Casino Admiral Granada, the first casino property to make its debut in the area in nearly 100 years, recently opened its doors for the first time as members of the public had a first look at the gaming, gambling, dining and leisure activities.

Over 800 people, including several invited from local politics and economy, attended the opening ceremony to give a taste of what local people and visitors might expect from this new attraction.

Located close to Granada’s city centre, the establishment includes 110 video slots with five different jackpots, an electronic roulette installation and a wide range of live gaming tables with American roulette, blackjack and Caribbean stud poker tables.

Lauding an Admiral Arena as “another highlight,” the sports bar will broadcast a multitude of global events, with the casino also hosting local community poker tournaments on a regular basis.

In addition, Casino Admiral Granada also features a multi-functional event venue, equipped with event and show technology to organise social events, seminars or presentations for business.

Manfred Schartner, managing director of Admiral Casinos Spain, who welcomed the guests, emphasised the importance for Novomatic and Admiral of the Andalusian community: “In our new casino in Granada, we offer innovative premium entertainment. Andalusia is a very important market for Admiral and Novomatic: three of the six casinos in the region are operated by our group.”

Novomatic operates three casinos in southern Spain with Admiral Casino Granada joining Admiral Casino San Roque, the region’s first acquisition of the group, and Admiral Casino Sevilla, which opened its doors earlier this year.

More than a year and € 6 m of investment preceded the latter’s opening as it added 7,000 square metres of gaming floors, poker zones, restaurants and show venues.
