Norwegian Cruise Latest Brand To Partner With PlayAWARDS

PlayAWARDS, a groundbreaking B2B marketing tool developed by PLAYSTUDIOS, a digital and social game developer, has collaborated with Norwegian Cruise Line to create branded in-app content that links the cruise travel pioneer to my KONAMI Slots games.

Norwegian Cruise Line is the newest brand to partner with the playAWARDS network which links the travel, entertainment and leisure partners of PLAYSTUDIOS with a global audience of gamers that can unlock real-world rewards within the company’s smartphone and social games lineup. PlayAWARDS provides improved data security and tracking of the rewards portfolio of each partner, while offering unparalleled insight into player preferences, habits and performance metrics.

“We are deeply invested in creating an experience that connects the gaming audience with our rewards partners,” says PLAYSTUDIOS Head of Partnership Development Jeffrey Netzer. “playAWARDS provides Norwegian Cruise Line a proven channel in which it can market content to millions of current and potential customers around the world.

“These are some of the most coveted destinations in the world, and, like all of our rewards, we’re making them available just for playing our games.”

To mark the collaboration, Norwegian Cruise Line has rewarded every player attending the October 24 “Fall Family Reunion” event at On the Record speakeasy and nightclub on the Las Vegas Strip with a five-day complimentary cruise. The party was attended by players from 28 states across the U.S. and three other countries–the largest gathering of PLAYSTUDIOS players and reward partners to date.

“We’re excited to partner with PLAYSTUDIOS to offer players an opportunity to experience our brand,” says Norwegian Cruise Line Senior Director, Casino Marketing and Loyalty Dwayne Neeley. “As an innovator in global cruise travel, finding unique ways to amplify our brand voice and reach new audiences is fundamental, and we feel PLAYSTUDIOS provides a great platform to support executing on that strategy.”

The Norwegian Cruise Line’s inaugural schedule of incentives includes up to seven-day cruises to the Caribbean (starting from Miami, Tampa, New Orleans and San Juan, Puerto Rico) where guests will have the opportunity to explore Mayan ruins, rainforest El Yunque, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and other popular sites. This includes stops in Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta, among others, as well as the Mexican Riviera (leaving Los Angeles).

Norwegian Cruise Line joins PLAYSTUDIOS ‘ curated lineup of rewards partners including MGM Resorts International, Wolfgang Puck, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, Maverick Helicopters, House of Blues, and Resorts World. Players can also access rewards in Australia, Asia, and the UK for complimentary experiences.

The content of Norwegian Cruise Line started to appear in my KONAMI virtual world on November 1.
