Northern Lights, maker of online casino slots, has deepened its relationship with Yggdrasil as the YG Masters partner selects GATI technology from the supplier to fulfil its global ambitions.
Enabling game studios and developers to build and distribute content easily and securely through their global distribution network, all GATI-integrated Yggdrasil partners will now be able to cross-sell their games to any regional Yggdrasil franchisor.
Lauded as a “unique model,” Northern Lights comments that the move would enable the company to rapidly scale distribution and raise sales opportunities while finding new ways to operate and collaborate.
Northern Lights CEO Andrew Goodale said of the decision: “We are very excited about developing our games on the GATI platform and taking our business to another level using this strategic and innovative technology and unique collaborative business model.
“This gives us complete control of the entire development process and how we design games without having to make any compromises, plus it will enable us to achieve our business strategy quicker and at scale, across global markets.”
GATI, which stands for tools and interfaces for game adaptation, is the enabler of the Yggdrasil Decentralised Aggregation Network that enables any global franchisee to collaborate and share their respective games roadmaps.
All partners gain access to a pre-configured, integrated software creation toolkit for creating and distributing games worldwide.
Stuart McCarthy, at Yggdrasil’s head of partner planning and sourcing said: “This is a complete game changer for our partners, giving them complete control over the rapid development and fully scalable deployment of their games onto our systems and standardised technology, that are fully compliant and packaged ready for distribution to our rapidly expanding operator and franchise networks.
“Studios can build content in any language they want with the knowledge that their math and mechanics IP is completely protected, while also benefiting from our full suite of Boost marketing tools and our partner connect system that manages local market compliance and operator specific integration requirements.”
