While the organisation of the National Hockey League (NHL) continues to exercise social distancing and take the appropriate steps during this ever-changing period, the league has announced that it will continue to help fans stay connected to players and the game by offering access to exclusive content and archived games.
Starting on Friday (yesterday), the NHL will support fans on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok with an expanded video, editorial and digital content offering on NHL.com, the NHL app and through its social networks.
Users will have access to an wide collection of classic NHL games, long-form material from the vast archive of NHL Original Productions and free access to the 2019-20 regular season full screen replays of games.
The NHL and Sportsnet have also agreed to make full replays of all the regular-season NHL 2019-20 games already played available for viewing on demand. The games will be accessible through NHL.com and the NHL app’s scores and schedule pages, and via NHL LIVE in Canada.
The league will also introduce the “NHL Pause Binge” on NHL.com and its official website, YouTube. This will consist of a curated selection of material from NHL Original Productions, from “Road to the NHL Winter Classic,” “Behind The Glass” and “NHL All Access” backstage services to full-length classic NHL games dating back to the 1950s.
