NFL And DraftKings Extend DFS And Content Into Canada

The National Football League (NFL) and DraftKings Inc have agreed to extend to Canada their current daily fantasy sports (DFS) and content collaboration. The marketing and content arrangement between the two was previously restricted to the US.

Increased DFS fan experience

DraftKings said the announcement of an expanded agreement further deepens the relationship between the two organisations and increases the fan experience of DFS in Canada.

Ezra Kucharz, DraftKings’ Chief Business Officer, stated: “The relationship we share with the NFL is important for DraftKings to provide customers a great experience. This expanded agreement gives us a unique opportunity in the Canadian market, and we look forward to working with the team at the NFL Canada as we continue to shape the modern fan experience.”

Landmark partnership

The NFL and DraftKings entered into a partnership in September 2019 that founded DraftKings as the sole sponsor of the DFS category of daily fantasy sports, as well as providing the business with access to NFL branding and opportunities to collaborate across the DraftKings app and NFL Media assets on product and content offerings.
