News UK has named Simon Collins, co-founder of Cashcade and Gaming Realms, as its betting and gaming sector managing director.
Collins co-founded Cashcade in 2001, and later developed the bingo site and flagship brand FoxyBingo, which was sold for £96 m ($123.9 m) in 2009 to PartyGaming.
He co-founded Gaming Realms in 2018, which focuses on offering mobile real-money gaming opportunities.
In February this year, Gaming Realms sold its B2C Bear Group subsidiary to River iGaming for £ 11.5 m.
Collins will oversee the development of the gaming brands of News UK, including Dream Team, Sun Bingo and Sun Racing, in the new role.

“He has a history of building audiences and value around brilliant digital gaming brands.”
Collins said: “I am particularly excited to take up this new role as I believe there are a number of opportunities to develop the existing business.
