The National Council of Gaming States Legislators (NCLGS) has released information of the agenda and submitted membership for its 2020 Winter Meeting at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina on January 10-12. At last year’s attempt, the team aims to create on what was a record complete and parliamentary participation.
A solid three-day agenda involves six parliamentary commission meetings focusing on legal, regulatory and operational elements of sports betting alongside lottery and casino–both commercial and tribal. Keynote speakers in October will be announced.
Council President and Ohio State Senator William P Coley said: “We have developed a cutting-edge Winter Meeting agenda based on the feedback of dozens of legislators from across the country. From start to finish, it addresses vital issues that legislatures – as well as other stakeholders – need to consider as they seek to understand the many facets of gaming.”
He added: “We invite anyone with an interest in the policy, regulation and outlook of legalised gaming to attend this important event.”
The agenda of the NCLGS Winter Meeting includes legislative committee meetings on casinos, evolving gaming types, Indian gaming, lottery, responsible gaming, and parimutual wagering.
The International Masters of Gaming Law will also conduct two IMGL Masterclass sessions concentrating on sports gambling and the state-tribal compacting method. A unique committee of general sessions will concentrate on how gaming can stimulate investment in equity and create jobs.
