Mybet Secures Deutsche Eishockey Play-Off Sponsorship

Mybet has secured his first big sports sponsorship since becoming a ‘digital partner’ of Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) –Germany’s highest professional ice hockey tier.

The sponsorship was announced as the Deutsche Eishockey enters its knockout play-off phase, where mybet will have prominent coverage across the league’s digital platforms and social media profiles.

Deutsche Eishockey is known among Europe’s top ice hockey leagues, attracting an average crowd of 7,000-10,000 spectators per game from its 14 teams.

Once the 2019/2020 DEL play-offs and championships are over, mybet will be granted the first option to extend or upgrade its relationship.

Gernot Tripcke, managing director of the league, stated: “DEL fans will have the opportunity to place bets on their favourite teams. At the same time, we are running various campaigns to expand the play-offs appeal to wider sports fans.”

A former Frankfurt-listed company, an infamous mybet holdings SE was forced into administration in 2018 after a ruined buyout that saw the business become insolvent.

The mybet brand was saved by Malta-based investor Rhinoceros Group, who relaunched mybet in 2019, propelled by the EveryMatrix platform and Kambi sportsbook solution, reaching a last minute settlement.
