The third-largest fantasy sports site in North America, Monkey Knife Fight (MKF), has completed another phase in its multi-year strategic relationship with the LA Kings. The firm has confirmed that for every goal the team scores this season, for a minimum of $100,000, it will donate $1,000 to the Kings Care Foundation.
In the places it will go to, the total will be divided. Half will fund relief from COVID-19 in the city of Los Angeles, while the other half will go to the state’s mental health and wellbeing programs.
In addition, as announced in July 2020 as part of a strategic alliance with AEG Worldwide, the ice corner of the STAPLES Center for the 2021 season has been labelled with the MKF logo.
Exclusive fantasy sports partner
Via the alliance with LA Kings’ parent AEG, in July 2020, MKF became the LA Kings’ exclusive fantasy sports partner. In preparation for the Kings’ home opener on January 14, the ice was laid in December.
Bill Asher, Monkey Knife Fight’s Founder and CEO, stated: “We’re extremely proud to be a part of the LA Kings family. We’re even prouder that the team will be sporting the logo for the California Hope Crisis Counselling Program on their helmets this season in support of mental health services for Californians. Mental health support and aid to those severely impacted by the pandemic is much needed in 2021, and we want to be part of that.”
