Mindway AI’s GameScanner Tool Gains GLI Validation

Denmark-based Mindway AI has seen its GameScanner tool becoming the first responsible gambling approach to be checked and validated in a sample by Gaming Laboratories International for its results on identifying at-risk and problem gamblers.

The performance claims of GameScanner, which is focused on artificial intelligence and neuroscience and aims to help igaming operators track their clients’ behaviour, were tested on the basis of a sample conducted by GLI in August 2020.

Lauded as a “important step,” Mindway AI’s arguments about the accuracy of GameScanner identifying at-risk and problem gamblers were found to be accurate in the industry testing and evaluation firm’s sample test.

The arguments are focused on the 24-7-365 profiling and tracking of gamblers by GameScanner, one of which states that “at least 99 per cent of subjects manually assessed as potential problem gamblers are classified as either at-risk or potential problem gamblers by GameScanner.”

In addition, it was said that “at least 88.5 per cent of subjects manually assessed as potential problem gamblers are classified as potential problem gamblers by GameScanner.”

Implemented at igaming operator sites and websites, GameScanner automatically tracks and analyses any gambler case 24-7-365, resulting in gamblers being profiled according to their level of risk.

Rasmus Kjaergaard, CEO at Mindway AI said: “We see it as a true milestone for Mindway’s GameScanner software to have been tested and proven in a sample test as the first problem gambling solution by GLI, who deliver world-class and highly acknowledged testing in the gaming industry.

“We are proud of getting the claims about GameScanner’s performance validated by an independent third party. This is another step towards raising the bar in player protection and making gambling sustainable and fun for the players at the same time.”
