Microgaming Offers PlayItForward Funding For Gordon Moody Assoc.

Microgaming has expanded its contribution to the Gordon Moody Association, announcing that it will provide the charity with funding through its PlayItForward CSR initiative to support the families of those undergoing problem gambling counselling.

Gordon Moody Association offers a range of recovery resources, ranging from retreat and therapy facilities to residential treatment centres and relapse prevention accommodation, with nearly five decades of experience in offering guidance, education and clinical assistance to individuals who need it most.

Rob Mabbett, head of growth at Gordon Moody Association said: “Collaborating with the likes of Microgaming and the wider industry is integral to what we do.

“On behalf of the team at Gordon Moody Association, we would like to thank Microgaming for their generous support and for all of the good work they are doing in the space of CSR and responsible gambling.

“The donation from Microgaming PlayItForward will go towards a comfort fund. It will also help to assist families physically, emotionally, and mentally to find peace of mind while their loved ones access therapy for problem gambling.”

So far this year, Microgaming PlayItForward has supported dozens of charities that are dedicated to treating, mitigating or preventing gambling-related damage, including organisations such as YGAM and Motiv8.

In order to help protect the young people of the island from online damage, the programme also donated social media security packs to all Isle of Man schools and colleges this week.

Kimberley Broad, compliance director at Microgaming, added: “At Microgaming, we strive to promote and support a safe, responsible environment for our customers and wider communities, which is why engaging and collaborating with charities such as Gordon Moody Association is incredibly important to us.

Gordon Moody Association plays a key role in our community, providing individuals and families with much needed support and care in treating and minimising the harm that can be caused by problem gambling. We are delighted to help support them and hope that this donation will go some way towards helping the charity continue the incredible work they do.”
