MGM Resorts International and BetMGM, a joint venture between MGM Resorts and Entain, have become official partners of the American Gaming Association’s Have A Game Plan campaign.
The goal of the mission is to promote ethical sports betting to both new and experienced gamblers. Furthermore, the news coincides with the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) Responsible Gaming Education Week, during which MGM Resorts and BetMGM are offering essential responsible gaming advice and information via their social media channels.
BetMGM’s responsible gambling programme manager, Richard Taylor said: “We are proud to become a partner of such an important initiative for the industry. Through GameSense, we are committed to doing our part in creating a fun and safe experience for customers.”
Responsible gambling education is a significant goal for MGM Resorts and BetMGM as they continue to expand and evolve their sports betting and other gaming platforms.
Ongoing GameSense commitment
Garrett Farnes, responsible gaming compliance manager, MGM Resorts added: “This partnership complements our ongoing commitment to GameSense.
“GameSense has been an instrumental part of the MGM Resorts guest service model since 2017, helping customers understand the risks, where to get help and ultimately, how to keep gaming fun.”
GameSense, developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and licenced to MGM Resorts, focuses on friendly, honest, and proactive dialogues with players about gambling responsibly.
Personal contacts between guests and trained personnel at each property’s M life Rewards desk are a part of the programme. Guests can use interactive GameSense touchscreens, educational materials, and other tools in addition to conversing with qualified workers.
