Maverick Gaming and Hotel Elko, a new casino and hotel in Nevada, has opened for business.
The multi-year objective is to modernise the physical infrastructure, improve the overall gaming, and rebrand as either Maverick Casino & Hotel, Ace’s Poker, Dragon Tiger Casino, or Macau Legend, according to the firm.
Maverick Gaming’s CEO and principal owner, Eric Persson said: “This is an important step for Maverick Gaming as we continue to grow and invest in our portfolio of properties.
“Our plan has always been to consolidate our assets under our four key brands and unite them under Play Maverick Loyalty and Sports programs.
“This is the next step in our evolution as we continue building Maverick Gaming as a best-in-class regional operator and, today, we are excited to introduce this new, unique experience to our friends in Elko.”
A History Wall will be featured at Maverick Casino and Hotel, including relics of historic signage, portraits, gambling chips, and other mementos. The property debuted with over $2 million in renovations, including 2,000 square feet of custom color-changing lighting on the exterior, a 24-foot monument sign with LED display along Idaho Street, and an eight-foot, only in Elko, larger-than-life boot art installation honouring the city’s famous Centennial Boot Project.
24 unique brands
Maverick Gaming, based in Kirkland, Washington, has bought 24 distinct brands and locations in Nevada, Colorado, and Washington.
Steve Sirianni, regional president of Maverick Gaming, added: “We are excited to launch the first Maverick Casino and Hotel in the country. Our goal at Maverick has always been to upgrade the experience for our loyal guests.
“With this debut, we also wanted to honor our community, team members, and the rich past that the Red Lion Hotel and Casino had in Elko.”
The transformation of the Red Lion Hotel and Casino Elko into the Maverick Casino and Hotel marks a significant step forward in Elko’s appearance, service and amenities, and overall guest experience.
