Ahead of the forthcoming Cheltenham Festival, online betting operator MansionBet has unveiled a new advertisement campaign dubbed “#MerryCheltmas.”
The sportsbook hopes to brand the festival as “the most wonderful time of the year” for racing enthusiasts by coming up with a catchy title.
MansionBet will introduce a variety of deals for the week-long series of races, including paying all customers as winners if their horses finish second in the first race of each day.
An element of fun and anticipation
Dana Brocker, Head of Integrated Marketing at MansionBet. explained: “We wanted to bring that element of fun and anticipation for Cheltenham in a way that resonates with our target audience.
“For racing punters, Cheltmas is the most wonderful time of the year and our campaign brings that to life.”
In addition, the promoter will run a number of awareness campaigns, including a radio promotion called “Now that’s what I call a MansionBet Cheltmas,” as well as news, digital, and social media releases, in order to “highlight the breadth of offers” available to all consumers during the festival.
Justin Brookfield, Director of Tomorrow TTH, the promotional firm that collaborated on the campaign for the sportsbook added: “It’s not often you get to work with a client who is as forward-thinking as MansionBet.
“They have allowed us to stretch this campaign and develop their ideas in a way that produces real cut-through in a crowded market. It really is beginning to look a lot like Cheltmas and we are all excited for the festival to begin and for customers to enjoy the offers MansionBet are presenting throughout the week.”
Revival of its principal sponsorship
Following a revival of its principal sponsorship of the Arena Racing Company (ARC) and Jockey Club Racecourses (JCR) earlier this year, the ad effort is the newest in MansionBet’s sequence of horse racing measures this year.
The operator will be the title sponsor of the Newbury Spring Cup and the Official Betting Partner of the Opening Saturday at Goodwood racecourse as a result of the agreement, all of which will be shown live on ITV.
In addition, the company has named jump jockey Brian Hughes as a brand ambassador, who will collaborate with flat racing champion Hayley Turner OBE in the development of content for various marketing campaigns.
