M88 has been appointed the regional betting partner for La Liga in Asia following the signing of a multi-year deal with the Spanish football competition.
The commercial agreement will continue until the end of 2024 and will see the online betting company partner with La Liga to create exclusive content to increase the prestige of the market in Asia, while also increasing the possibilities for fan interaction in the continent.
An M88 spokesman commented: “We are incredibly excited to be partnering with La Liga, an organisation with whom we share many values and aspirations.
“As the league continues to grow in popularity throughout Asia, we are eager to engage with La Liga fans and bring our own members closer to the action. We are looking forward to a successful and rewarding partnership for many years to come.”
In addition, both organisations will work together on a number of initiatives to continue engaging Asian football fans. These activations will be supported by M88 and with fans having the chance to win La Liga apparel, match tickets and other exclusive experiences across La Liga’s digital platforms.
One of the already announced planned content projects includes a weekly video series which will include an in-depth overview of Spain’s top tier. The programme will feature Ambassadors from the La Liga who will have feedback and storys to improve market penetration.
La Liga head of sales, marketing and international growth Oscar Mayo added: “The love of football continues to spread rapidly in Asia and La Liga’s following has grown incrementally for several years.
“With fans looking for increasingly local and entertaining content, this agreement with M88 gives us a new way to reach new audiences and show them a side to the competition they haven’t seen before.”
