Lightening Box Makes Sydney Entry With SG’s OpenGaming

After going to live Scientific Games’ OpenGaming, Sydney, Australia-based online casino slot supplier Lightning Box has made its entry into the Keystone state.

The developer went live with two titles to begin the relationship, namely Lightning Horseman and Respin Rhino, with the entire portfolio of the company anticipated to follow in the coming months.

Besides serving players in Canada via the British Columbia Lottery Company and Loto Quebec, Lightning Box went live in neighbouring New Jersey in 2015.

About the partnership, Peter Causley, CEO and co-founder of Lightning Box, said: “We’re very excited about the opportunity in Pennsylvania and are looking forward to seeing the results.

“It bodes well for us as a studio that our content continues to cross the bridge between land-based and online in the states. With our games integrated onto the OpenGaming ecosystem, we’re in a good position to penetrate new markets and expand our player base even further.”

Scientific Games notes that its OpenGaming ecosystem will form an important part of the expansion of Lightning Box across the US, offering new ways to reach a broader audience for the studio’s games.

This is the latest in the group’s confirmed string of commercial tie-ups, following in the footsteps of Big Time Gaming, BetMGM, Hard Rock International, and NetEnt.

On the group’s new US-focused distribution contract, Dylan Slaney, SVP of gaming and digital at Scientific Games commented: “It’s fantastic to see Lightning Box make its debut in Pennsylvania. We’re delighted to have played an important role in supporting their efforts to expand across the US.

“Their games have performed strongly in New Jersey, and we also expect them to produce great results in the Keystone State. This latest launch showcases exactly how OpenGaming helps partners to build their presence within regulated markets worldwide.”
