LeoVegas To Propose Organisational Changes At AGM

LeoVegas AB has stated that at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company, scheduled for Friday 8 May 2020, it will propose a variety of organisational changes.

LeoVegas announced the company’s 2020 AGM agenda this morning, which included a number of major appointments at boardroom levels.

Top of the agenda, the LeoVegas Appointments Committee will recommend the appointment of Per Norman as new Chairman of the company to corporate shareholders.

An industry figurehead, Per Norman is MRG Group’s former group chief executive (2015-2019), the fast-growing multi-market online gaming operator bought by William Hill for £ 245 million in 2018.

Norman has served as Chairman of the Scandinavian esports entertainment network Gamingzone AB and as a member of the board of Green Jade Games and Sverige Television Aktiebolag since leaving MRG.

In addition, LeoVegas will recommend the appointments of IT experts Carl Larsson and Torsten Söderberg as new company managers supporting Norman’s presidency.

Carl Larsson is the former co-founder of DigitalRoute company, a leading provider of digital IT systems for large enterprises. Ex board member for Cherry Gaming and Stingbet, Torsten Söderberg is.

The Appointments Committee also recommended that Uppsala University Professor Mathias Hallberg PHD be named as a company director advising LeoVegas on Social Responsibility and Safer Gambling Directives.

LeoVegas also reported that Mårten Forste and Tuva Palm, who will be limited to seven directors, have declined re-election on the board.
