As part of a broader branding plan, Asian sportsbook operator Just Bet Online (JBO) is expected to strengthen its relationship with Spanish LaLiga club Real Betis Balompié.
Since August 2019, Real Betis has had a well-established partnership with the betting firm RB88, however the firm has now agreed, however, to concentrate its marketing efforts on the flagship JBO brand.
It is intended that the RB88 brand will be replaced by JBO. As a result of the new deal, for the remainder of the current agreement between the club and RB88, the Asian Sportsbook has become Real Betis’ Regional Partner in Asia.
Scope and ambition
A JBO spokesman said: “JBO’s partnership with Real Betis is the largest deal that we are working on – both in terms of scope and ambition.
“It’s an exciting opportunity, especially considering Real Betis play in one of the world’s most popular leagues. So, we can’t wait to continue some good initial work with the club, consolidating JBO’s credentials and awareness in Asia in the process.
“With this partnership in place, collaboration between JBO and Real Betis will intuitively strengthen and provide a platform from which to grow and engage both parties’ combined fanbase across Asia and globally.
“Expanding their existing Asian audience appeal, alongside leveraging the natural sporting synergies between our two networks in the digital domain, will constitute our prime focus.”
Official ‘remote’ ceremony
To mark the beginning of the new partnership, the duo held an official ‘remote’ ceremony from Spain, taking into account the COVID-19 regulations.
Extending reach in the Asian market
Ramón Alarcón, Real Betis’ General Director of Business, added: “We are thrilled to grow our co-operation with the group. We’re confident that under this new brand, we will enhance positive impacts for JBO and the club, allowing both parties to extend our reach in the Asian market. Our partnership with JBO will enable us to more deeply engage with our fans and supporters in Asia.
Corralling broader interest

JBO has maintained a firm sponsorship presence, having previously acted as Serie A club Bologna FC’s Regional Betting Partner in Asia.
More recently, the organisation has forged collaborations with Olympique de Marseille’s Ligue 1 squad as well as Dimitar Berbatov, a former Bulgarian leading-all-time goalscorer and Premier League legend.
