The Government of the Isle of Man has announced Chris Kissack ‘s appointment as Head of Esports for his digital agency-Isle of Man Digital (IoM Digital).
Kissack will take office on 3 August to oversee the Isle of Man ‘s launch of an esports development initiative aimed at attracting new companies to the self-governing jurisdiction of the British Crown.
Kissack joins IoM Digital from Amber Gaming, a seasoned leader in IT management, regulatory compliance and marketing, where he led the consultancy ‘s delivery of professional services and initiatives for sports clients.
Commenting on the recruitment, IoM Digital CEO Lyle Wraxall said: “I am very pleased to welcome Chris to our team. It was vital that we found the right candidate to drive forward this new, exciting venture for the Island, and Chris’ experience in the sector, expert knowledge, and enthusiasm for our esports proposition made him a perfect fit for the role.”
For its corporate policy , the government of the Isle of Man has officially identified esports as a core area of development and innovation, ranking alongside blockchain and AI technologies.
IoM Digital was set up in 2019 to help the government promote new business ideas from emerging tech-led economies.
