European gaming company Interwetten has expanded its scope of payment options after a new link to MuchBetter has been unveiled.
The igaming payment company will be available in the coming weeks as a new option across the networks of Interwetten, offering real-time player transactions and lower operator transaction fees.
Lauding mobile gaming as “the fastest growing user base” across its brands, Interwetten stresses that because of its “innovative, mobile first approach to ignore payments,” it chose MuchBetter. With just their phone and fingerprint, MuchBetter users can make transactions without having to remember any passwords or security questions.
Jens Bader, co-founder of MuchBetter, said of the link-up:“We’ve always had a different approach to payments, and we always like to create an integrated relationship with our operators. For Interwetten, it’s not the case that they turn on the MuchBetter functionality and we just leave them to it.
“We are committed to building a solution that works for them and meets their specific needs, while serving their players with the smoothest user experience on the market. I believe we’re trusted by all our operators to deliver on that front.”
Another important consideration which Interwetten discussed was the business model of MuchBetter, which means that operators only pay transaction fees based on the real cost that the MuchBetter programme added to Interwetten in a given month and not every transaction that a customer makes.
Dr Birgit Bosch, COO of Interwetten, added: “We have completely bought into the MuchBetter approach, and we love their commitment to payments innovation. After years of growth, mobile gaming remains a huge market opportunity and the MuchBetter app was built with these customers in mind from day one, not retrofitted to suit.
“They know these players and what they want from a payment app, as well understanding as the German speaking market, its opportunities and its many challenges.”
