Inspired Announce Michigan Entry As ‘Key Focus’ In Growth Strategy

Inspired Entertainment has announced the launch of its remote gaming server in Michigan, which the company describes as a “key focus” of its growth strategy.

According to the developer, an initial batch of games has been announced, with a slew of new titles set to be released in the not-too-distant future.

North America top priority

North America is a “priority market” for the company’s gaming, digital, and virtual sports companies, according to the company, which also believes it is well-positioned to profit from ongoing igaming legalisation initiatives in the US.

In January 2021, the Michigan Gaming Control Board issued Inspired a provisional licence to supply its online games, with the company claiming that it has established a “expanding library of games” that have been licenced for use in the state by Gaming Laboratories International and the regulator.

The MGCB launched the region’s online gaming and sports betting ecosystems on Friday, January 22nd, at noon local time, with nine operators initially licenced to kick off what was dubbed “a new era.”

Rapidly expanding footprint

“North America is a priority market for our gaming, interactive, and virtual sports businesses, and our footprint has been expanding rapidly.  

“As more states pass legislation in the flourishing US igaming market, we believe we are well-positioned to bring our products to market with a detailed game launch strategy and high-profile partners already in place.”

Michigan’s online casinos and poker rooms continued to perform well in April, bringing in $94.9 million, down marginally from $95.1 million in March. The average for the 30 days increased to $3.16 million per day, up from $3.07 million per day in March.

The victory brought in $17.8 million in state taxes and $5.2 million in local taxes. With $36.8 million in adjusted receipts, BetMGM/MGM Grand Detroit took the lead, netting $7.2 million in state taxes.
