Indiana is set to acquire another mobile sportsbook entrant following the launch of a BetIndiana by USA Sports Gaming in cooperation with Spectacle Entertainment based in Indianapolis.
This follows the launch earlier this month of online sports wagering in The Hoosier State, with the partnership being delivered via the Majestic Star Casino of Spectacle.
The site, located in Gary’s Lake County neighbourhood, is to open a BetIndiana sports lounge where fans can watch marquee games and wager throughout the year from their personal mobile devices.
Lauded as’ Your Hometown Sportsbook,’ the mobile sportsbook is designed to feature global sports events that customers with state boundaries can wager on from anywhere.
BetIndiana will continue to be a mobile sportsbook for the planned future land-based casino of Spectacle Entertainment adjacent to the Borman Expressway in Gary as part of the “long-term deal.”
This sees a collaboration with Hard Rock International to build a new $400 m company to replace the two former riverboat casinos of Spectacle.
The planned 225,000 square foot casino would produce more than 1,000 construction jobs and nearly 1,800 permanent jobs after completion, with the addition of a hotel to the complex creating additional employment opportunities within three years.
Frank Ignatius, President and founder of USA Sports Gaming stated: “This is the perfect partnership for us. Like BetIndiana, Spectacle Entertainment is an independent operator in the gaming industry, born in the Midwest and connected to our local markets.”
Users and bettors can also access news and sports and sports wagering information at BetIndianaNews.com, the digital sportsbook’s companion web site.
“We are extremely pleased to sign this agreement with Majestic Star to launch our BetIndiana mobile product,” added Ignatius. “In addition to Indiana, we are making plans to operate in several other markets around the country, as more and more states legalise sports betting.”
