Live poker choices have been limited and far between due to the coronavirus outbreak. Next month, however, a new poker tour will hit the circuit, offering players plenty of poker action along with a way of giving back to charity.
The Sheraton Suites Chicago Elk Grove will host the first-ever Midway Poker Tour from October 2-4. In the northern part of Illinois, there will be $100,000 in guarantees up for grabs and the tournament will run as a charitable event benefiting children.
A buy-in of $1,100 will be given for the Midway Poker Tour. Two flights will commence, one of which will take place on October 2 and the other on October 3. In the starting chips, players will be given 30,000 and the Day 1 levels will last just 30 minutes. By Day 2, players can find that every 40 minutes, levels switch.
The poker activity will stop at Level 20 on Days 1A and 1B. On Day 2, the players who held on will return to the felt. That will be the last day and it will crown a winner. Players will re-enter the match, but the player must take the larger stack to Day 2 if the two flights remain.
The action will be live-streamed from the beginning to the end, a fascinating feature of this tour. The tour will provide cash games before the tournament starts, so players can arrive early and go ahead and play if they so desire.
For the case, pre-registration has already begun. In order to sign up, players can visit the Mid-Way Poker Tour site and press the pre-registration button. As per the state COVID-19 regulations, a mask is required for participants.
