Gamblers in the state of Illinois can as of today legally place online bets, thanks to Rush Street Interactive and a collaboration with French Lick Resort.
The first internet and portable sportsbook authorised by the Hoosier State is to be launched via BetRivers.com, indicating the start of the agreement inked in August, which saw a retail release coming just in preparation for the NFL season.
Indiana’s mobile gambling industry does not allow in-person membership at the casino, so players can enrol and start immediately from anywhere in the state Subject to permission by Indiana Gaming Commission players will obtain a game prize of up to $250 on their first payment, while respondents must be physically situated within Indiana and at least 21 years aged to gamble.
“What better time to launch than in the height of football season, the start of baseball playoffs and just before basketball returns?” noted Richard Schwartz, president of Rush Street Interactive.
“We know our players are really going to appreciate the convenience of being able to place wagers online anywhere in Indiana, adding to the excitement of these sporting events.
“Our experience and success in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York allows us to zero-in on what players want – a massive range of sports betting options, through reliable and scalable technology, with responsive customer service and fast payouts.”
Last month, RSI presented French Lick’s retail sportsbook with a 3,000-foot room comprising a 14-foot-long couple of 8-foot-high LED video walls that will anchor the sportsbook display region along with 18 extra TV screens.
Sportsbooks also include eight self-service gambling kiosks and up to three manned over – the-counter gambling windows.
Schwartz added: “We are excited to make history in the state of Indiana. As a Chicago-based business and affiliate of the trusted and market leading Rivers Casino in Illinois, we are proud to expand our trust into Indiana.
“We are thankful for the Indiana Gaming Commission giving Rush Street Interactive their vote of confidence and authorising us to launch online sports betting in the state. We look forward to working together with French Lick to continue our great partnership.”
