International Game Technology PLC (IGT) announced this week that it is now ready to grow its sports betting business in Nevada, having received Nevada regulatory approval for its PlaySports retail and online sports betting site.
The company said in a statement that this approval allows it to deploy its next-generation sports betting technology stack around the Silver State, allowing more casino operators and their players to benefit from “…the most widely used sports betting platform in the US.”
Nevada Regulatory Approval
IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President Enrico Drago commented: “Achieving Nevada Regulatory Approval for our PlaySports technology enables IGT to extend our sports betting expertise to our many, long-time customers throughout the state and notably differentiates IGT from many other B2B sports betting platform providers.”
He added: “IGT’s PlaySports platform is equipped with a high-performance betting engine that delivers an exceptional player experience, an integrated Player Account Management module that enables operators to drive player acquisition and retention through bespoke offers and promotions, and a modular design that enables our PlaySports customers to scale their offering with new market opportunities.”
In August 2020, the company began the mandatory Nevada field trial process for its PlaySports technology at Boyd Gaming properties, and it now powers the company’s entire sports betting operation in the state. IGT PlaySports is now involved in 16 states throughout the United States.
