Hilton Hotel Returns To Las Vegas Strip With RW Deal

Hilton Hotels is returning to the Las Vegas Strip, and doing so in a spectacular fashion. The multinational hotel chain has signed an agreement with Genting Group based in Malaysia to position three of its brands on the property of the company’s Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV), which is due to open next year.

Once the resort is open, guests to the resort will be able to select from Hilton Hotels & Resorts, LXR and Conrad, and will also be able to use their Hilton Honors rewards programme at the hotel.

Hilton is an already established, well-known international brand with more than 4,000 properties around the world; however, it is fighting with Marriott for the number-one spot on the charts. This new partnership, which will see a total of 3,500 rooms under the name of Hilton, is a huge coup and will give it better chances of bumping Marriott from the top.

RWLV President Scott Sibella has said in announcing the new relationship: “With our commitment to redefining the luxury hotel standard in Las Vegas, it was only natural for us to partner with Hilton, a leader in the global hospitality industry. Hilton embodies the values and top-level hospitality that align with Resorts World’s priority of bringing an unmatched guest experience to the Las Vegas market.”

He added: “We had various options before we decided on partnering up with Hilton. We decided we wanted to have a partner that is a leader in global hospitality, and Hilton is probably the best at it. They had the history of really starting what Las Vegas is today with the Las Vegas Hilton.”

Hilton wasn’t absent in Vegas; under the umbrella of the company, many properties are located in the area. Not since a few years ago, however, when the Las Vegas Hilton became the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, has there been a Strip hotel bearing the name of the Hilton in public view. The company currently also has the DoubleTree in Sin City, and the Waldorf Astoria.

Hilton’s global development, architecture, design and construction president Ian Cater, adds: “This will mark our largest multi-brand deal in company history, and we are excited to work with our new partners to create a distinct hotel experience in an unbeatable location for our future guests.”

The hotel brand also manages operations at other Genting facilities, including Resorts World Bimini and a Genting hotel in Miami, FL. The company is also partnered with Penn National, which runs the DoubleTree, located inside the Tropicana.

Last week was a busy one at RWLV for Sibella and the crew. Just before concluding this relationship with Hilton, which had been in the works for about a year, it signed an agreement with Konami Gaming that will see the latter have exclusive gaming control of the property through its casino management system SYNKROS.
