In appreciation of their contributions during the pandemic and beyond, over 2,000 Hard Rock International workers in Atlantic City are to earn bonuses.
Loyalty, hard work and commitment
The bonuses, which are said to be worth $1m in total, seek to reward loyalty, hard work, and commitment to the gaming resort by enforcing the promise for the second consecutive year.
US media outlets say that the company is also making similar moves, including in Florida, where the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa are owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida group.
Other employee incentives
Companies across a variety of industries are said to have made similar changes in recent weeks, with a number of Macau-focused casino operators also confirmed to have introduced employee incentive structures, including MGM China; Melco Resorts and Entertainment; Wynn Macau; and SJM Holdings.
HRI Chairman Jim Allen practically addressed the team members of the organisation, expressing his appreciation for their perseverance and sacrifices that led to the success of the property in Atlantic City.
Prevalence during challenging times
“The dedication of our team members has been crucial to driving the success of our casino resorts, and we are proud that Hard Rock Atlantic City has been able to prevail during these challenging times,” he said. “We are committed to the well-being of our valued team members.”
The Seminole Tribe of Florida and HRI have invested over $90 million in COVID-19 relief activities around the company portfolio to meet critical needs for team members during the pandemic, which has helped team members through the continuity of compensation following the property closures, benefit extensions, and numerous supermarket gift card distributions.
Exciting time for team members
President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Joe Lupo said: “This is a very exciting time for our team members that was made possible by our incredibly generous owners, the Seminole Tribe of Florida, along with chairman of Hard Rock International Jim Allen and Hard Rock Atlantic City partners Jack Morris, Joe and Michael Jingoli who have truly brought light and hope into the new year.”
