Habanero, the leading manufacturer of gaming devices, has released its new video slot, Scopa, named after one of Italy’s two national card games, through its entire network of operators.
The delightful new release takes players on a once-in-a-lifetime train ride through the rolling countryside of Italy and through some of its best-known cities while playing the most popular card game in the European country along the way.
Scopa, meaning “broom” in Italian, already common in Italy throughout the 18th century, gives players points when they “sweep” or “fatto scopa” the table by comparing the value of a card in a player ‘s hand to a card with the same value, or two or more cards of the same total value.
Habanero took the much-loved card game and transposed it into an creative slot model that will join the portfolio of more than 100 games offered by the supplier. Players will find expanding wilds on a backdrop of spectacular visuals and an authentic soundtrack, enticing original characters on this all-Italian trek through some of Italy’s most famous capitals.
The immersive journey takes players through historic regions during the extra spins round, with stops in Genoa, Milan, Naples, Tuscany and Venice, respectively, in a reference to the original regional variants of the game.
Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development Europe for Habanero, used a press release to comment on the new video slot. He said:
“We are delighted to release the immersive hit Scopa across our operator network, and we are proud of what we have achieved in transposing the much-loved card game of the same name into this innovative slot formula.
“We hope that transporting players on a memorable exploration of Italy’s vibrant past while playing its favourite card game will prove to be the perfect hit – and we’re excited to be bringing it to our players in Italy and the world over.”
The new launch is on the heels of Habanero securing a new partnership with Groove Gaming, a Maltese iGaming content aggregator. The supply deal adds to Groove ‘s offer a fresh range of material while sustaining its continued expansion across Latin American and European markets.
