Habanero Takes Real Money Games Catalogue To Germany

Habanero, the online casino content provider, took its real-money games catalogue live in Germany and claimed that the jurisdiction is poised to become “one of the most important markets in Europe.”

Going live under the newly controlled system of the jurisdiction on October 15, the day on which the online gaming market officially opened in a transition phase, the move comes ahead of the official opening of the market in July 2021.

In the meantime, as long as new regulatory legislation are implemented, operators will communicate with the sector, with those ignoring the new regulations facing possible exclusion from the future official licencing process.

The new directives include the features of reality check, max win, five-second spin intervals, monthly deposit caps, and maximum stake limits, combined with the elimination of autoplay and progressive jackpots, which are said to have been implemented to further encourage social responsibility and reduce gambling-related harm.

Last month, Habanero secured entry into the country when its social casino offering went live with Löwen Play, a licenced Schleswig-Holstein operator.

Tal Zamstein, managing director at the Digital Unit of Löwen Play, stated: “Habanero’s world class portfolio has already been hugely successful with our social casino outlet, so we are thrilled to introduce players to its celebrated real-money catalogue.

“Recent months have seen the studio further strengthen its position among Europe’s fastest-growing suppliers, and we have no doubt that it will continue to attract new audiences going forward.”

The supplier has previously claimed that it has a range of additional deals in the pipeline with German-based companies ahead of the country’s online gaming market opening in 2021.

Habanero ‘s European Head of Business Growth, Arcangelo Lonoce, explained: “Germany is set to become one of Europe’s most important markets in the coming years, so it’s fantastic that our hit games went live on the day its regulatory framework came into effect.

“Our partnership with Löwen Play has been of strong mutual benefit, and we anticipate that the company will continue to go from strength to strength in Germany and beyond.”
