The announcement of a collaboration with Penn National Gaming for its iSport Genius (iSG) data insights and sports content, which will be part of the latest Barstool Sportsbook mobile app, has been confirmed by sports gamification and content provider GTG Network.
Partnership News coincides with a live, real-money test period running this week for Penn’s Barstool Sportsbook app in the Keystone State.
Subject to final regulatory approvals, the company plans to officially launch the Barstool Sportsbook app in Pennsylvania on September 18, following the test phase due to be completed tomorrow. In the coming months, there are also plans to launch the Barstool Sportsbook app in additional states.
The iSG of GTG Network leverages trillions of pieces of data, generating more than 20,000 facts per event with unparalleled depth of insights. ISG helps boost the overall experience for bettors and sports fans alike by creating more educated users by providing this detail.
Nathan Rothschild, co-founder and partner, GTG Network said: “We are excited to announce further growth in the US by partnering with Penn National, the nation’s largest regional gaming operator.”
“Like everyone else, we expect the Barstool Sportsbook app to make a significant impact in the US sports betting sector. We have been working closely with the team at Penn National and are excited to be a part of their Barstool Sportsbook product.”
Penn Interactive Head Jon Kaplowitz has commented: “We seek to build fun, engaging, and unique sports betting and gaming product experiences, and the iSG data product complements that strategy. We are excited to be partnered with GTG Network, and look forward to utilising their services as we scale the Barstool Sportsbook product across the US.”
In all states where the Barstool Sportsbook app is launched, this arrangement will see GTG Network’s iSG deployed. As well as a small number of college sports, all the world’s major professional leagues will be protected.
