Grupo Orenes Rebrand VERSUS To Target Rapid Global Growth

Spain’s gaming company Grupo Orenes has rebranded its flagship commercial property’ Viva La Suerte’ as’ VERSUS’ in an effort to expand its international appeal.

The gambling group based in Murcia (Alicante) held a press conference this week in which it retired its Viva La Suerte brand, announcing the release of VERSUS ( as its lead B2C entity to be exported internationally by Orenes.

The release of VERSUS was marked by Javier López Cerrón, Group Director General of Orenes, as the next critical chapter in the company’s 50-year history.

Cerrón emphasised that the management of Orenes has opted to revamp its corporate image, aiming to establish a B2C brand more in tune with modern customers engaged in online gambling services.

In fact, Orenes marketing notes that VERSUS’s release sees its virtual domain extending its reach beyond the online casino that was attached to the name ‘ Viva La Suerte.’

With all Orenes affiliates–Real Murcia CF, UCAM Murcia Basket, Cadiz CF and CF Pontevedra withdrawing their sponsorship inventories, Orenes has fully deployed VERSUS this week across its current online and land-based verticals.

Cerrón underlined as a corporate guideline for 2020 that VERSUS will drive Orenes B2C expansions across foreign Spanish-speaking markets–“VERSUS can be a global brand recognised anywhere, recognised anywhere in the world, in any country and in any language. VERSUS a different style is born in which we should all embrace this.”
