GiG’s WSN.com Site Obtains License In Tennessee

The Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has obtained a vendor registration from the Sports Wagering Committee of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation in the state of Tennessee for its flagship affiliate site, WSN.com.

The securing marks the latest authorisation to be added to the company’s list of vendor registrations and licences in the United States, reinforcing in the process its media service, GIG Media.

The company noted: “This enables GiG Media to expand its presence in the United States, reflecting its continuous ambition to be an influential player within the US market.”

Via its flagship US-facing sports betting website World Sports Network, WSN.com (New Jersey, Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Iowa, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada and Tennessee), GiG Media is now present in nine US states, while Casino Tops Online (casinotopsonline.com) is now a licenced online casino guide in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

In January 2019, the first affiliate vendor registration for the state of New Jersey was granted to the company. This was followed by a registration card for sports wagering in Indiana in December 2019.

In 2020, GiG received permission from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board from a service provider to provide affiliate services in the Keystone State and was given a licence for sports betting in Colorado. An interim licence for a sports wagering supplier in West Virginia was also issued.

Jonas Warrer, GiG Media’s Managing Director, said: “This is an exciting time for GiG Media, we are delighted to strengthen our position in the US with this license approval in Tennessee. World Sports Network continues to gain momentum in the US market and having a presence in Tennessee provides us with a fantastic opportunity to help our partners convert more visitors into key players.”
