The ISO 27001 accreditation has been recertified for four of Gaming Innovation Group’s major products: the PAM platform, frontend development & CMS solution, sportsbook platform, and data platform.
The accreditation, which the corporation first earned in February 2021, will be subject to annual surveillance assessments and will be valid for three years. Additionally, GiG’s headquarters in Malta – the GiG beach office – as well as its Spanish and Latvian offices have received accreditation.
ISO 27001 examines and sets specifications and requirements for complete information security management systems (SMS) using a “top-down, risk-based approach.”
Dedication to information security
Regulatory organisations recognise the certification as an attestation to an organization’s ISMS, allowing GiG to “optimally and centrally demonstrate its dedication to information security.”
GiG will be able to ‘smoothly onboard employees’ for its platform department in all three sites thanks to the certification, while remaining compliant with the ISO accreditation’s rules of conduct.
By streamlining its compliance with regulatory standards, GiG hopes to free up more time for its teams to focus on building its product line and provide more value for its partners and customers.
Diane Abela, GiG’s director of information security, said: “At GiG we continue treating digital trust as a priority, holding our information security processes and controls to a very high standard.
“The ISO 27001 standard demands continuous improvement, year-on-year, and obtaining our re-certification for another three years reaffirms our continued improvement and investment in information security towards our partners and regulators.”
