Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has further extended its presence in the US following receipt by the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission of a Vendor Minor sports betting licence for its flagship affiliate site WSN.com.
This new evolution means that GiG Media is now operating via WSN.com in seven US states.
The firm received its first affiliate vendor registration for the state of New Jersey in January 2019. This was followed by a registration card for sports wagering in Indiana in December 2019. In February 2020, GiG secured Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approval to provide affiliate services in the Keystone State.
GiG Media managing director Jonas Warrer explained: “We are delighted to further strengthen our position in the US with this latest license approval. WSN.com continues to gain momentum in the US market and Colorado provides us with an even greater opportunity to convert visitors into players as legal sportsbooks begin accepting customers in the state.”
In May 2020, Colorado became the 18th state in the USA to legalise online sports betting. According to H2 Gambling Capital, the online sports betting industry in the centennial state is expected to hit about $200 m in annual revenue at saturation.
