GiG Enters Long Term Agreement With Slotbox

The Gaming Innovation Group has entered into a long-term agreement with Slotbox, hailed by the organisation as the “creation of the leading casino group in Ireland.”

The agreement will see the provision of GiG’s igaming platform, omnichannel solution and frontend creation to launch their new online casino located in Dublin with eight locations spread across the country.

John Doyle, Slotbox’s head of marketing, explained: “Slotbox is founded by a team with extensive experience in the gaming industry and has strong retail operations in Ireland. At Slotbox, we are focused on building loyalty and value with our customers through a combination of excellent digital products, operational excellence, technological leadership and great service.

“With our customer-first approach, we became Ireland’s most popular casino chain. We look forward to continuing to innovate and build on that success with GiG, and deliver a first-class omnichannel experience for our players. In addition, we aim to be an industry leader in the area of professional development for our employees.”

The deal is based on a mix of fixed fees and revenue sharing arrangements, opting to sign up with GiG to push its digital transformation under the name Slotbox.

Slotbox will take the omnichannel approach from GiG, putting their online and offline worlds together, from a single login point, to a shared wallet and rewards scheme that aims to provide a seamless experience for players when moving between the two.

The casino offering is scheduled to go live by the end of 2020, with a meaningful contribution to GiG ‘s sales scheduled from 2021 onwards by the collaboration.
