GiG Enters Long-Term Agreement With K.A.K. DOO Skopje

The Gaming Innovation Group has entered into a long-term agreement with K.A.K. DOO Skopje, the current casino customer, to provide sportsbook services for the group.

In order to launch both their digital and land-based sports betting operations in the controlled North Macedonian market, the agreement with the hospitality, tourism and services business involves online, over the counter, omnichannel and on-site sports solutions.

This expansion follows the group’s decision to enter Macedonia’s growing sports betting market under its own licence after a previous agreement to power K.A.K.’s digital casino transition, enabling up to an initial 25 physical sites around the nation as well as online operations.

GiG’s chief executive officer, Richard Brown, stated: “I am very pleased to expand our partnership with K.A.K, they have secured a local sports betting license and have exciting growth plans which are highly complementary to their existing premier retail casino presence in the country.

“By adding our online and OTC sportsbook technology offering to the online casino also powered by GiG, K.A.K’s end users will have a seamless end-to-end experience. We are very much looking forward to working with them to deliver a great product to the local market.”

Through the GiG partnership with Betgenius, the collaboration will also provide end-to-end live info, trading and risk management services. This will allow K.A.K. to deliver official sports betting content from over 300 competitions to its clients.

This sports offering is scheduled to go live in the second quarter of 2021, and is expected to make a positive contribution from H2 2021 onwards to GiG’s revenues.
