GGPoker has announced six-time tennis major winner and former world number one Boris Becker as official website ambassador, as well as carrying out a link with King’s Casino in Czech Republic.
Becker, hailed as a “long-time poker enthusiast,” is to represent both brands when playing online, and will serve as the official ambassador to the upcoming WSOP Super Circuit Online Series tournaments.
Becker said: “I am thrilled to work with GGPoker and King’s and am looking forward to competing with players around the world on the very best poker platform. With the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series just around the corner, I’m hoping to add a WSOP Circuit ring to my Grand Slam wins!”
As a GGPoker partner King’s, called “one of Europe’s top live poker venues” where it hosts the annual World Series of Poker Europe, will give their players access to an expanded number of online poker games online.
Leon Tsoukernik, owner of King’s Resort said: “We are honoured to announce our partnership with GGPoker, the most ambitious online operator right now. Their software is incredibly innovative and evolutive, yet still convenient for amateur players, with many amazing and exclusive features.
“We are very excited with the support of my friend and poker legend ElkY to combine forces with GGPoker. This gives all of our players the best platform and the very best offers.”
The update pair follows GGPoker welcoming Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier to their team earlier this month. The French kid, who besides his poker prowess is known for his esport accomplishments, boasts more than $14.5 m in live cashouts for the tournament.
GGPoker head Jean-Christophe Antoine said of the new announcement: “The addition of both a sporting great like Boris and a respected poker brand like King’s to the GGPoker roster means we continue to go from strength to strength.
“Everyone is well aware of what a fierce competitor Boris is on the court, and I expect to see the same spirit when he hits the tables!”
