Casino operator Genting UK revealed a £ 1.6 million renovation of its Glasgow property in progress, which is said to see a “complete revamp of one of the city’s most popular gaming venues”.
Work is currently underway on Genting Casino Glasgow with the entity to continue to operate as normal throughout the refurbishment as the company stipulates a completion date towards the end of next month.
There will be a complete overhaul of the gaming facilities of the casino, with an additional, smaller gaming room being added to the facility. The additional space will see the casino adding to its offer an additional 20 “top of the range” slot machines and ten digital gaming terminals.
In addition, a makeover to create a more welcoming environment for visitors will be given to the current large gaming area and mahjong room.
In addition, a Chinese theme will also be introduced throughout the building as part of the refurbishment.
As the venue is expected to display typical oriental decoration depicted by paintings, graphic wallpapers and light fixtures, a number of relaunch activities are also scheduled in January 2020 for the Chinese New Year.
Hospitality outlets are to launch an oriental theme revamp with three karaoke rooms to be revamped in the same Asian style, from furniture and decor to menus.
The estate will also see the addition of a new meeting room in the centre of Genting Casino Glasgow with general maintenance as existing signs and lighting are enhanced.
Iain Gardiner, general manager at Genting Casino Glasgow, stated: “We’re making a significant investment in the Glasgow casino to ensure our customers can enjoy the best gaming experience available.
“We have an extremely strong relationship with the Chinese community in the city and it’s great to acknowledge those links as part of the refurbishment.”
