Genting has announced the completion of a £1.6m refurbishment of its casino property based in Glasgow, which will incorporate an oriental theme throughout.
Officially announcing the improvements in October 2019, the renovation of Genting Casino Glasgow came as the operator tried to enhance the gaming facilities in the casinos and improve the overall casino experience for the customer.
The main gaming area and Mahjong room were given a complete makeover as part of the refurbishment, with a number of changes designed to create a more welcoming environment for the customers. The casino is housed in a listed building, and a number of original features were preserved as well.
In addition, an expanded gaming room with 20 new slot machines and 10 electronic gaming terminals was added to the facility. The casino stresses that it intends to continue investing in this region to ensure that “they are providing customers with the most up to date gaming offering in the city”.
The Oriental decor has been added throughout, the casinos have been upgraded to three Karaoke rooms, and the Chinese restaurant of the entity has been renamed Jin Mi, and significantly updated.
Genting Casino Glasgow general manager Iain Gardiner said: “We are fully committed to providing our customers with a first-class in casino experience. We have invested significantly in the Glasgow casino to ensure our customers can enjoy the very best gaming experience in a safe environment and we are incredibly proud to unveil the new space.
“The upgrades have helped us to create a welcoming environment where customers can socialise with friends and we are looking forward to showcasing the newly refurbishment restaurant and bar area.”
