Genius Sports has improved its market position in Latin America by becoming the Argentine Football Association’s (AFA) exclusive data and streaming partner.
The data and technology provider will collect and share data from all levels of Argentine football over 3,330 games every season and 13 competitions, with the goal of connecting fans, brands, and sports betting operators abroad.
To achieve this goal, Genius will collect and publish AFA data as well as live video broadcasts for licenced betting companies, giving sportsbooks with “premium content” to help with client acquisition, retention, and engagement.
Genius will employ its Bet Monitoring System to give ‘24/7 visibility and protection’ by comparing global betting patterns with predictive algorithms to identify and warn any potentially suspicious activity, as part of the agreement.
Respected and prestigious organisation

In addition, Genius has won data distribution rights for all AFA competitions, leveraging its customised advertising, content, and fan-messaging solutions for brands, publishers, and marketers.
In May, the NYSE-listed company became an official partner of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), as well as an official integrity partner of the English Premier League, Dimayor Colombia, and the German Football Association (DFB).
‘Grow Argentinian football’s global reach’
Genius’ services will be used by the AFA to help ‘grow Argentinian football’s global reach,’ as well as strengthen its commercial strategy to increase fan involvement and exposure ‘at all levels’ of the country’s national footballing infrastructure.
To accomplish this, the partners will instal GeniusLive+ cameras at over 100 locations to provide ‘broadcast-quality streams’ to the athletic body’s OTT platform.
All GeniusLive+ events will be produced in collaboration with Pixellot and Argentinian business La Corte, allowing the AFA to live stream around 2,000 fixtures across eight competitions per season.
