A major commercial agreement with Microgame SPA was secured by Genius Sports, which this week was appointed as the lead provider of sportsbook data and trading services for the Italian online gambling platform.
Under the terms of the agreement, with the official data requirements of Genius Sports, Microgame SPA will move to upgrade its data capability and trading services.
25 Italia ADM-licensed sportsbooks
The collaboration will cover the entire portfolio of 25 Italia ADM-licensed sportsbooks from Microgame, including market leader Goldbet and the Betaland and Betflag heritage betting brands.
As the company moves to update all sportsbook systems to enhance content and functionality for its current customers, Microgame announced that it has chosen Genius Sports as the lead supplier.
Continuing development of sportsbook
Marco Castaldo, Microgame’s CEO, stated: “The partnership with Genius Sports Group is an important step in the continuing development of our sportsbook. Adding the Genius data service will further improve top-quality event coverage for our customers, ensuring a better player experience and additional revenue opportunities.”
Microgame sportsbooks will have access to the full suite of official data and prices for the English Premier League, Euroleague basketball, LigaMX, NASCAR and a full range of FIBA and FIVB tournaments from Genius Sports to move forward.
The Chief Commercial Officer at Genius Sports, Jack Davison, said: “The Italian market has been a hub of major investment for Genius Sports in recent years, from hiring to product development and official rights acquisitions. Partnering with Microgame, another respected supplier in the region is expected to further our local reach and will enable over 25 new sportsbooks to unlock additional in-play engagement and revenues.”
