The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, which owns and operates Michigan’s Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, has entered into a binding agreement with GAN.
The company has been chosen to deploy its GameStack software platform, which will allow igaming and online sports betting, as well as expand the group’s market penetration in Michigan.
The announcement adds a fourth client to GAN’s rising list of tribal clients, as well as a ninth client for real money igaming and online sports betting in the United States.
Confidence in B2B platform
GAN’s chief executive officer, Dermot Smurfit, explained: “We are thankful for Soaring Eagle’s confidence in our B2B platform offering and the opportunity to partner together.
“We look forward to powering the Soaring Eagle brand in Michigan with our highly optimized technology platform and enabling them to efficiently attract loyal sports betting and igaming players.
“The Michigan market is off to a great start with expectations that it will surpass $1bn in gross operator revenue in its first twelve months of operations. Given Soaring Eagle’s strong brand, sizeable database and experience, we expect them to capture their fair share when they launch this fall.”
GAN will deploy its GameStack platform on the client’s on-premises infrastructure under the terms of the agreement. The community will also work together to design and create a front-end web application for igaming and sports betting, as well as native Apple iOS and Android applications.
The Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort is a 210,000-square-foot casino with thousands of slot machines and a wide range of table games.
Soaring Eagle’s chief operating officer, David Charles, added: “We are excited to leverage GAN’s proven Michigan platform capability and expertise to introduce an exciting online casino and sportsbook, which will allow us a new way to engage with our patrons.
“GAN has a proven solution and has demonstrated their ability to bring their platform to market quickly in Michigan. We look forward to collaborating with the team at GAN and our shared future together.”
