A multi-year agreement with NetEnt online casino content development has been rolled out by Gaming Realms to licence the company’s “most popular slot of all time.”
The licencing agreement will see mobile-focused gaming developers use the Starburst title of NetEnt to create what it lauds as “an epic new game” incorporating the Slingo grid mechanic with all the original igaming title ‘s classic features.
Mark Segal, Gaming Realms’ chief financial officer, commented: “We’re thrilled to have secured the licensing rights to the Starburst brand, a legendary slot that has dominated the gaming industry for years.
“We’re confident that fans of Slingo and Starburst will enjoy our new collaboration, which will bring together the best features of both brands.”
Slingo Starburst, the latest game, will be released internationally and will be distributed to the real money gaming industry digitally in 2021.
Andy Whitworth, chief commercial officer at NetEnt said: “To widen the reach of our portfolio and building brand awareness in new markets is a vital part of our strategy.
“Gaming Realms has an extraordinary reach among Slingo fans, especially in the US. We are certain that great games will come out from combining Gaming Realms expertise, the Slingo grid mechanic and our renowned IP.”
