Mobile based game content creator and licensor Gaming Realms has entered into a two-year agreement with global entertainment company Hasbro.
Under the terms of the deal, the latter is to obtain exclusive rights to serve as an agent on behalf of the company to recognise and help negotiate licencing opportunities for the Slingo brand in different categories of digital gambling.
The deal will allow Hasbro to introduce additional licencing opportunities to Gaming Realms in new and established territories in some digital gaming categories beyond the real money gaming and lottery segments of online gaming.
Hasbro SVP Mark Blecher said on the link-up: “As Slingo is an incredible brand with a long heritage and engaged audience in multiple digital gaming and gambling categories, we are excited to apply our deep gaming licensing expertise on behalf of Gaming Realms to seek opportunities to bring the Slingo brand to life in new and unique ways.”
According to License Global’s 2019 Top 150 report, Gaming Realms selected Hasbro as an agent to supplement its licencing business based on its status as the world’s top six licensor.
Hasbro has a track record of licencing well-known game brands into a broad array of digital game and gambling categories with a range of gaming companies including Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Scopely and Science Games.
Gaming Realms executive chairman Michael Buckley commented: “We are extremely pleased to, once again, be working closely with Hasbro on what will be a key strategic partnership in the expansion of our Slingo brand.
“At Gaming Realms our priority has always been to create innovative and engaging content for users and to increase its reach by expanding the offering across a variety of market sectors and, we believe that this partnership will enable us to further develop this.”
