Gambling.com Appoints Johannes Bergh As CSO

By appointing Johannes Bergh as the new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to sustain growth momentum across all multiple international markets, Gambling.com Group has bolstered its executive leadership team.

Previous appointment

A seasoned digital growth strategist, Bergh joined the leadership team of industry rival Catena Media Plc, where he served as Chief Operations Officer of the affiliate marketing publisher (2017-2020).

Bergh was responsible for the innovation and integration of acquired assets during his executive tenure at Catena, which increased Catena’s corporate revenues from EUR 40 million in 2016 to EUR 103 million by 2019.

‘Deep experience’

Gambling.com highlighted Bergh’s ‘deep experience’ in the management of online gambling performance marketing verticals by updating stakeholders.

Chief Executive Charles Gillespie of Gambling.com Group said: “The appointment of Johannes Bergh marks only the second time in 14 years we have brought on a new C-level officer to the Group.

“I consider us incredibly fortunate to have connected with JB at the right time and look forward to working with him to deliver the next chapter of Gambling.com Group’s growth.”

Implementing expansion

Based in Dublin, Bergh will retain strategic control of the current international website portfolio of Gambling.com, as well as being responsible for defining and implementing expansion across new markets.
