Fun88 has extended its esports presence to become Dota 2 pro-team OG’s ‘global betting partner’ by securing a ‘multi-year deal.’
Therefore, by collaborating with the back-to-back winners (2018 and 2019) of The International’ Dota 2’s annual world team championships organised by Valve, the Isle of Man online bookmaker has undertaken the largest esports sponsorship pledge to date.
Updating the market, Fun88 said the OG partnership will serve as a key strategic partner for the expected upgrade of its esports betting markets, as it aims to broaden its betting options for in-play and pre-play, as well as insights into real-time and post-match.
A Fun88 statement read: “We have an unswerving desire to develop premium esports content. With OG, we are working alongside the most engaging team in the entire esports ecosystem, we want to offer customers fresh and progressive ways to interact with the games they love.”
The expected esports update of Fun88 will initially concentrate on Dota 2 markets ‘to bring fans closer to the Dota 2 action than ever before.’
Juan M. R. Luna, OG’s CEO, added: “The OG Esports Dota 2 legacy is built on the values of Friendship, Trust, and Competitive Excellence. We are thrilled to welcome Fun88 to both esports and the OG Family. This signifies a great tie-up between the market-leading online gaming brand and the TI back-to-back champions.
“As our team-belief of ‘Dream OG’ aligns perfectly with FUN88’s own brand slogan ‘Live Your Dream’, we are committed to partner together to ignite worldwide Dota 2 players, firing fans’ passion and excitement to pursue their dreams.”
