Fortuna Win Big At Polish Bookmakers Awards

In the 2020 edition of Legalni Bukmacherzy’s Polish Bookmakers Awards, Fortuna Zakłady Bukmacherskie has emerged as the leading operator.

For the third year in a row, the Polish arm of the Czech gaming company Fortuna Entertainment Group took home the coveted Best Bookmaker Award, while also picking up the titles of Best Offer and Responsible Bookmaker and winning a joint Best Marketing Award with BET.

Furthermore, when the bookmaker won five awards out of eight different categories, Fortuna employee Igor Kośliński was honoured with the Best Affiliate Manager Award.

At the Awards this year, a total of 12 categories were included, with the finalists and winners selected by a jury of top experts in the Polish betting and gaming industry. The recipient of the Customers Preference Prize, meanwhile, was elected as legalnibukmacherzy.pl by the players.

The event was hosted by prominent sports commentator Jerzy Mielewski and featuring European indoor heptathlon champion Sebastian Chamara and Jakub Brzeziński, one of the world’s best sim racers and winner of the 2019 Esports WTCC/WTCR Championships, held online to comply with social distance controls.

Subjects approached creatively

Adam Bieliński, CEO of iGamingNuts – the company behind Legalni Bukmacherzy said: “The previous year was very specific. All of the assumptions concerning acquisition and marketing strategies had to be changed due to the cancelation of major sports events and suspension of games in top leagues.

“The whole industry approached the subject in a creative way – the bookmakers extended their offers, introduced new marketing activities, and most importantly, they did not abstain from improving their products.”

STS was also a winner at this year’s ceremonies, extending its winning streak from the previous year’s edition, where it took home four awards.

This year, the operator, Fortuna’s biggest competitor in the business, won three awards: Best Mobile App, Best In-Play Bets, and Best Customer Service.

Superbet, based in Romania, has had a good showing, winning the Debut of the Year and Innovation of the Year awards, as well as the Customers’ Choice Award.

Bieliński concluded: “The bookmakers’ feedback to the third edition of the awards was very positive. We have received words of appreciation for organising the awards ceremony, as well as for our substantive approach to the topic.

“The event was widely commented on social media, which only shows that our Gala is currently the most important event of this kind on the Polish market.”
