In partnership with Bally’s Corporation, the gaming company FanDuel Group has announced the opening of its sportsbook at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino.
After Bally’s completion of the acquisition in November, the launch is the first capital improvement project at the site, and while a temporary offering design and development on a permanent location is initially underway.
New York-based FanDuel will use its patented risk and trading technology to run the sportsbook, which is the company’s first retail sports betting operation in Atlantic City, leveraging the IGT Playsports network.
Initially, the sportsbook will feature ten IGT PlaySports self-service betting kiosks, six live odds boards and three live betting screens, with attendees willing to assist clients with the process of sports betting.
In compliance with all CDC and local health protocols and guidelines, a selection of betting products and facilities, including all major US sports such as professional baseball, soccer, football, basketball, golf, boxing and motorsports, among others, will be available at the new venue.
George Papanier, Bally’s Corporation’s president and CEO, said: “We are very excited to announce the opening of the FanDuel Sportsbook at Bally’s AC.
“It is the first of many planned capital improvement projects at Bally’s Atlantic City and a testament to our commitment to reinvest in our physical property portfolio.
“We are also looking forward to once again implementing the winning combination of Bally’s nationwide expertise in gaming and casino operations, with FanDuel’s market-leading sports betting acumen and globally recognised brand, to provide an unrivaled sportsbook experience for our loyal Atlantic City customers.”
While the current sportsbook will be opened on a temporary offer, in early 2021, Bally expects to open a permanent location that will stretch 4,100 square feet and consist of 34 IGT PlaySports self-service betting kiosks and five participating live wagering windows.
A luxurious 80-seat lounge with 30 reclining club seats, oversized LED screen walls, and a food and drink menu including self-service craft beer will also be featured.
FanDuel Group vice president for retail, Keith Wall, commented: “We are excited to be one the first pieces of the capital improvement project at Bally’s Atlantic City Casino & Hotel.
“While we are eager to get up and running with our temporary sportsbook, we cannot wait until we open the permanent location and showcase to Atlantic City why FanDuel is the number one sportsbook in New Jersey.”
