Fanduel Given Green Light By Indiana Gaming Commission

The Indiana Gaming Commission gave the green light to introduce online sports betting in the Hoosier State to the FanDuel Sportsbook.

The release of mobile sports betting will take place in conjunction with Blue Chip Casino and will mark the state’s third online sportsbook after BetRivers and DraftKings Sportsbook launches on October 3. After the release in Indiana, FanDuel’s sports betting app will be live in four states.

Just last month, through its association with Boyd Gaming operated by Blue Chip Casino and Belterra Casino, FanDuel opened its retail operations in Indiana. The introduction of mobile sports betting is expected to support the advancement of the sportsbook through the Indiana sports betting industry.

As more mobile sports betting operators roll out, Indiana handle is expected to continue to expand, having started strongly in September with a handle of $35 million and revenue of $8.5 million.

The news comes shortly after USA Sports Gaming LLC, in partnership with Spectacle Entertainment, has announced plans to launch its BetIndiana mobile sportsbook.

The release of the digital sportsbook, which awaits IGC approval, follows on from the state’s debut earlier this month of free, online sports wagering.
