This week, Sportsbook operator FanDuel launched a $80m-plus charm offensive by depositing a $10 credit for consumers with a daily sports fantasy account and/or online sportsbook.
The nearly $80 million in platform credits were allocated to FanDuel customers for daily fantasy sports contests and legal sports bets as the NBA, NHL and MLB return to action following a long layoff. The bonus is available for all account holders irrespective of whether they signed up in 2015 or this week.
Mike Raffensperger, CMO of FanDuel Group said: “We are excited for the return of sports and wanted to give all of our customers a chance to get in on the action for free. Putting more than $80m in site credits into our customers’ accounts to enter DFS contests or to make legal sports bets is a thank you to our customers for their loyalty during this long stretch without the NBA, NHL and MLB.”
FanDuel is no stranger to consumer friendly deals as an official affiliate of the NBA, MLB and NHL. It was the first legal US sports betting operator to provide early payouts for futures wagers, the first to provide ‘Spread the Love’ where the line was pushed in the customer’s favour for every 2,500 bets made on a given market, the first to offer a ‘Bad Beat Refund’ as well as regular generous super odds boosts and promotions.
The business is also promising up to one day of risk-free betting up to $100 for all users on their first day back to the platform from 7/21-8/2 to mark the Return of Sports.
